Welcome Nell Hurley!

We’re thrilled to welcome Nell Hurley as our new Program Director! Nell brings a wealth of experience in addiction recovery, having dedicated over a decade to advancing peer support and building Recovery Community Organizations (RCOs) nationwide.

A true champion of recovery coaching, Nell was instrumental in launching Minnesota’s first RCO as the Executive Director of Minnesota Recovery Connection. She has also held national leadership roles at Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation and The Phoenix, and frequently serves as a consultant and subject matter expert for SAMHSA.

Beyond her professional expertise, Nell holds two master’s degrees—one in English Literature and another in Business with a focus on Nonprofit Management—as well as certifications in peer support, life coaching, and multiple fitness modalities, including yoga and CrossFit.

In recovery since 1997, Nell is deeply committed to making recovery more visible and accessible to all. She lives in St. Paul, Minnesota, with her husband, William, their dog, Paco, and their cat, Rosa.
