Our mission is to provide opportunities for members of the recovery community to find human connection, fun and positive experiences in recovery, and discover ways to be of service to others.

About Us

Amethyst Recovery Solutions is a 501c3 nonprofit Recovery Community Organization based in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. Founded by a close-knit group of four best friends, our organization is driven by a simple yet powerful mission: to cultivate a supportive ecosystem for individuals in recovery that prioritizes community involvement, human connection, and the integration of fun into the recovery process. At Amethyst, we believe that recovery is not just about abstaining from harmful behaviors; it's about building meaningful connections, finding joy in everyday life, and giving back to others.

Our journey began when the founders of Amethyst met during their early stages of recovery, or in some cases, even before they found recovery. Within this group of friends, a remarkable phenomenon emerged: an unusually high percentage of individuals remained committed to their recovery journey over time. This led us to wonder: What made our experience different? What elements contributed to our sustained recovery? With these questions in mind, Amethyst Recovery Solutions was born.

As an organization, we are dedicated to sharing the lessons we've learned and replicating the positive experiences that have shaped our own recovery journeys. However, we also recognize the diversity of pathways to recovery and the unique needs of each individual. That's why we embrace a holistic approach, incorporating emerging concepts and diverse perspectives from the recovery world. Our events and programs are designed to be inclusive and accessible to all members of the community, providing opportunities for personal growth, connection, and celebration.

ARS believes we are all in this together. We are a group of people in recovery who want to build each other up and share our recovery journeys with one another.

ARS is founded on the idea that there are moments people in recovery experience that have a profound impact on them. The core value of legacy to us means that we strive to cultivate these memorable experiences so that people see life in recovery to be fun and enjoyable.

Innovation

At Amethyst Recovery Solutions, we deeply value our partnerships with academic institutions and are committed to fostering a collaborative environment for groundbreaking research. Recognizing the integral role of administrative support in achieving research milestones, we proudly allocate up to, but not to exceed, 10% of the total subcontracted amount towards academic overhead and administrative costs. This commitment underscores our dedication to ensuring that every research initiative is provided with the comprehensive resources necessary to drive innovation and progress.
