Hazelden Betty Ford Anniversary Celebration

A beautiful day to hang out and celebrate Hazelden Betty Ford’s anniversary! In many ways, this organization paved the way for what substance use treatment looks like today. Today we are able to seek help for a medical condition, but when HBF opened their doors 75 years ago… this was seen as a new way of looking at substance use. And as it is with a lot of new concepts, it is not always received well initially. Through pushing the boundaries of treating substance use and pursuing recovery, Hazelden Betty Ford not only paved the way for what recovery looks like today… In many ways, they created the path entirely.

Today we had the opportunity to attend the 75th anniversary celebration as a resource table to aid in the recovery of people early in the process, along with connecting with some amazing people who are working with other incredible organizations in the field.
